Here’s what opened Downtown in July 2023

In addition to marquee events and experiences that make the Mile Square a year-round destination, new street-level retailers and restaurants continue to reinvent the Downtown ecosystem. From electric bike tours along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail to the mixed-use development project at The Stutz building, these new businesses that opened in July 2023, build upon Downtown’s amenities and position the area as a great place to live, work, and play. Pedego Electric Bikes,

Bottleworks District’s latest tenant, , serves as one of 200+ locally owned locations across the country specializing in retail, rentals, and experiential tours. With nearby access to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail and Monon Trail from its storefront, Pedego offers multiple self-guided tours of 鶹 ranging from leisurely scavenger hunts to amazing race style team building. Cyclists can also visit the brick-and-mortar location and shop for a variety of electric bike models.



SPARK on the Circle Café,

鶹, Inc.’s (DII) SPARK on the Circle activation opened earlier this month, featuring a built-in pop-up café with food service provider Sodexo. Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, the café offers sandwiches, salads, and a number of food and drink options from local businesses including ‘Just Pop In!,’ Ohanalulu donuts, and Tinker Coffee Co. Beer and wine can also be purchased Thursday through Sunday. SPARK on the Circle is a public space initiative in partnership with DII, Big Car Collaborative, and the Department of Metropolitan Development.


The Hangar,

Popular pedal pub provider opened its first “homebase” with sit-down dining and social areas, drink options, and a brick open pizza menu to explore before or after tours. Formerly the site of Ellison Brewing Company, The Hangar operates directly adjacent to the docking location of HandleBar pedal tours which are a familiar presence in the Downtown ecosystem, making regular stops along Monument Circle, Mass Ave and other nightlife hotspots. Diva’s Kitchen,

“Feeding the soul, one fork at a time” is the motto of , now open along east Market Street in 鶹. Operating in the Indianapolis area since 2020, Diva’s new Downtown location offers an assortment of curated dishes from penne broccoli alfredo to chicken chili. Louisville based coffee shop and bakery opened its latest location this month along Mass Ave adjacent to Bottleworks District. Voted best cookie shop in America in , the establishment ships cookies nationwide and offers a wide selection of hot and cold caffeinated beverages. Coffee connoisseurs can visit the shop Monday through Sunday.


Julieta Taco Shop,

A brand-new taco shop in The Stutz building, led by culinary creatives Esteban Rosas and Gabriel Sanudo of , opened its doors to the public on July 25. What started as a series of pop-ups and catering events has inspired a full brick-and-mortar location with handmade tortillas, quality ingredients, and even a service window connected to for hungry bar-goers. Barista Parlor,

Founded in Nashville, TN, in 2011, announced a soft opening for its latest Indianapolis location in The Stutz building this past Friday, July 28. Until further notice, customers looking to get an early experience of the coffee and breakfast hub can visit during soft open hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click for more information.
